Terms & Conditions – Glossy Glass Cleaning Services

 

These Terms & Conditions form a contract between Glossy Glass Cleaning Services (“the Contractor”) and the person or business engaging our services (“the Client”).

 By booking our services verbally, by phone, message, email, website form, or in person, the Client agrees to these Terms & Conditions.

 These Terms override any other terms proposed by the Client unless agreed in writing.

 

1. Our Work Guarantee

If the Client is unhappy with any part of the service, we must be notified within 48 hours of the clean so we can return and rectify the issue free of charge.

Due to the nature of the water-fed pole (Reach & Wash) system, occasional spotting or drip marks may occur as windows dry.

This is normal, especially on first cleans. Please notify us within 48 hours for a re-clean.

 Velux/skylights and inaccessible glass are not covered by this guarantee.

 

2. Preparation Before Our Visit

To avoid damage or delays, the Client must:

- Remove items from window sills and areas around the property

- Ensure all windows are fully closed

- Remove vehicles from driveway/front of property

- Provide clear access through side gates

- Inform us of any loose fittings, cables, pipes, or fragile areas

 We are not liable for damage to items left in the work area or for issues caused by pre-existing faults.

 

3. Window Cleaning Service

- We use pure water Reach & Wash systems for exterior window cleaning.

- This service does not include removal of paint, stickers, cement, or builders residue.

- Some stains may be permanent and not removable.

- First cleans may show spotting due to old detergent residue — this resolves after a few cleans.

- Vents above frames are not cleaned.

- Interior window cleaning requires full access and cleared areas.

 

4. Gutter Cleaning Service

- Gutter cleaning is cleaning only — not repairs or replacements.

- Removal of gutter guards/brushes may incur additional cost.

- For high or inaccessible gutters, we use a gutter vacuum system.

- If specialist access equipment is required, this will be discussed and charged separately.

- Fascia & soffits are a separate service from gutter cleaning.

 

5. Fascia, Soffit & Exterior Surface Cleaning

- Some stains (especially water marks on uPVC, wood or metal) may be permanent.

- Results depend on surface condition and age.

 

6. Soft Washing / Biocide Treatments

- Organic growth treated with biocide may take weeks or months to fully disappear.

- The treatment continues working for up to 12 months.

- Some staining may remain permanently.

7 . Pressure Washing Service

  • Pressure washing is surface cleaning only and does not include repairs, sealing, re-pointing or structural work.

  • Some stains such as oil, rust, paint, tyre marks or deep-set discolouration may not be fully removable.

  • Sanding between block paving may be reduced or removed during cleaning. Re-sanding is available at additional cost unless agreed as part of the quote.

  • Certain surfaces (including older concrete, loose pointing, damaged slabs, printed concrete or decorative finishes) may be vulnerable to surface wear when cleaned.

  • The Contractor is not liable for pre-existing damage, loose joints, unstable paving, weak mortar, or surface deterioration revealed during cleaning.

  • The Client must ensure pets, vehicles and fragile items are removed from the work area before cleaning begins.

  • Water overspray may occur during cleaning. Nearby walls, doors or surfaces may become wet temporarily.

  • The Contractor is not responsible for re-surfacing, sealing or repairs unless specifically agreed in writing.

 

8. Weather Conditions

Exterior cleaning is weather dependent. Services may be postponed during severe weather or weather warnings.

Cleaning in light rain is normal and does not affect results.

 

9. Access to Property (Ingress & Egress)

We operate on a scheduled round and cannot provide exact times.

The Client does not need to be home, but must provide access via unlocked gates or key/code where required.

If access is not possible, only accessible areas will be cleaned and charged accordingly.

We do not move heavy or awkward objects due to insurance restrictions.

 

10. Payment Terms

Payment is due on the day of service.

We may request customers to set up payment via GoCardless, Stripe, bank transfer ( Revolut payment link ) ,

Failure of payment may result in suspension of service and recovery action after 30 days.

Deposits for once-off work are non-refundable.

 

11. Cleaning Frequencies & Minimum Cleans

Regular window cleaning is scheduled on a recurring basis (4, 8 or 12 weekly).

When starting a regular service, the Client agrees to a minimum of 3 cleans before cancellation.

Schedules may vary by up to one week due to weather, holidays, or workload.

 

12. Cancellation & Postponements

7 days’ notice by text, call or email is required to cancel a scheduled clean.

Cancelling on the day or turning our team away incurs a 50% charge.

Excessive postponements may result in removal from our round.

Weather is not accepted as a reason for cancellation.

 

13. Damages & Liability

We are not liable for damage caused by loose paint, rotten frames, perished seals, pre-existing defects, poor workmanship, fragile fittings, marked or scratched glass, weak gutters or roof tiles.

 

14. Health & Safety

If the working conditions are not safe, we will not carry out the work. Safety comes first. We reserve the right to postpone or cancel any job where conditions are unsafe.

 

15. Quotes & Price Changes

Quotes are valid for 30 days.

We reserve the right to adjust pricing with notice due to rising costs or changes in property condition.

 

16. Photography

We may take photos before/after work for proof of work, condition records, quote preparation and quality control.

Please inform us on the day if you do not wish photos to be taken.

 

17. GDPR & Marketing Consent

By engaging our services, the Client agrees that we may contact them regarding upcoming cleans, reminders, new services and special offers.

We never share data with third parties.

Clients can opt out at any time.

 

18. Agreement

By booking Glossy Glass Cleaning Services, the Client confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
